Pairing and Connecting

Pairing your FreeBuds 6i is the bridge between your earbuds and the world of smart sound.

Automatic Pairing for Huawei Devices

If you’re using a Huawei smartphone or tablet, pairing is effortless. Simply open the charging case near your device with Bluetooth turned on. A pop-up animation will appear tap Connect, and your FreeBuds 6i will automatically link with the AI Life App.

Manual Pairing for Non-Huawei Devices

For other Android or iOS devices:

• Open the case (without removing the earbuds).
• Press and hold the function button on the case for 2 seconds until the LED flashes white.
• On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings → tap “HUAWEI FreeBuds 6i” → select Pair.

Managing Multiple Devices

The FreeBuds 6i support multi-device connection, allowing you to stay linked with up to two devices at once. You can switch between a phone and laptop seamlessly for instance, pausing music on your tablet to take a call on your phone.

Troubleshooting Pairing Issues

If your earbuds fail to appear, reset the Bluetooth module by placing them back in the case, holding the button for 10 seconds until the LED blinks red, then try again.
You can also re-add the device from within the AI Life App under “My Devices.”

Once connected, you’ll see real-time battery percentages, sound modes, and noise cancellation controls available directly within the app.
